Economic Development is to promote and enhance the economic vitality of the community through the retention and/or expansion of existing business and the attraction of appropriate new business. Further, the Chamber will work in a variety of ways to promote a suitable climate for quality economic development in all its forms; industrial, commercial, agricultural, institutional and residential.

Incentives
Morgan County will work with new businesses to access State incentives for relocation from another state. In addition, the Development Authority of Morgan County can issue industrial revenue bonds which may abate real and personal property taxes for a period of time. Morgan County is also a member of the Joint Development Authority of Jasper, Morgan, Newton, and Walton Counties, the developer of Stanton Springs.
